In 2016 Wade Mann, the owner of Wade Mann Security won the 2016 NAIDOC (National Aboriginal and Islander Day of Celebration) Person of the Year for his work and commitment to his community.
For the last 14 years Wade Mann has been on the following committees:
- NAIDOC Committee for 14 years - Chairperson of Rockhampton 2013 & 2014 - donated security for NAIDOC Rockhampton Expo for the last 4 years
- On Board of Directors for Bidgerdii Community Aboriginal and Islander Health Service
- On Board for Capricorn Coastal Catchment Incorporated for the last 4 years
- 9 years North's Junior Rugby League coach and President of the club for 4 years
- As part of a team of 4 people started up All Blacks Junior Rugby League in 2000
- Sponsored Youth Week Touch Football team for the last 3 years
- Darumbal Elder for Rockhampton State High School
- Darumbal Uncle for Frenchville State School
- PCYC Boxing Club Sponsor (donated security for boxing tournament)
